Stretch and Breathe (6 min) - Just a few simple stretches to show off my feet and booty and then some deep breathing and meditation. Stretching gets our juices flowing into places we don't typically activate during our day to day life. It awakens cells and chakra energy centers making you feel more alive. The pranayama (breathing technique) I use in this video is called Nadi Shodhana in Sanskrit (alternate nostril breathing) it helps purify our mind and body. It also can help with sinus issues, anxiety, balancing hormones and clearing toxins among many other things. I also did some Om chanting at the end to raise our collective vibration. While OM'ing may seem silly or even uncomfortable at first it really works wonders in so many ways. What is looked at like a cliche yoga thing is something very powerful when you practice it. There are many other chants as well, but I love Om because it is a sacred sound and considered to be the first sound of the universe. When you Om you are matching the frequency and energy of nature. I Om daily after my yoga practice and even throughout the day when I feel out of balance or anxious.
