narrative of the life of frederick douglass, an american slave everyone should have to read this. it’s so important. everyone should have to come face to face with the disgusting details of slavery. douglass is such a gifted and skilled writer, and the fact he was forbidden to read and write for so long just makes it all the more impressive. his critiques on christians are still relevant today. short review because this is a reread and because he has already said what needed to be said. 8.8/10
