Ah! Today is 1 year since my kidney transplant! 😍 I decided to show you guys the difference between then. Between sickness and health. Between not being able to eat because dialysis made me feel sick and not being able to drink too many fluids because my kidneys couldn’t filter it, to being able to eat and drink with little restrictions. The first video is 1 week before my surgery, and the second video I just took after waking up from a nap. - seeing these side by side is a huge eye opener for me. I knew I was thin before but I guess I didn’t realize HOW thin. I would feel sad looking in the mirror because I had never been that thin and I felt like I looked ill but seeing it beside the video of me today is such a big difference, it’s incredible ! I went from being sad, sick, and the thinnest I have ever been; to happy, thriving, and the thickest I’ve ever been ! I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for my sister and the other donors, for my family and friends helping me thru the whole diagnosis/recovery, and for all of you who constantly would send me kind words, check in on me and my health, and supporting my work to help cover medical bills.
