The much anticipated letter from the mortgage company. I took the mortgage out mid November and chose not to fix it. I believed that despite the base rate being so low, there was room for it to be dropped if we went into recession. If it didn't happen, I was confident that business would be very good. Looks like I've saved myself £50 a month. A small token given the lost revenue from other avenues. I'm not sure I'd ever see borrowing that cheap.
