The Hiroshima Peace Memorial (Genbaku Dome) was the only structure left standing in the area where the first atomic bomb exploded on 6 August 1945. It gives you a weird feeling standing and seeing these ruins in middle of the fresh spring grass and trees. It’s humbling to imagine all that happened in a split second.
