5/7/21: The Six of Cups. It’s alluring but unhelpful to romanticize the past. The challenge of this card is to hold our dearest memories close, to appreciate our past selves, with as much honesty as the subjectivity of memory allows. Nostalgia in moderation offers sweetness, in excess it fosters avoidance and escapism. Our past self got us where we are now, and all of our experiences have shaped us. Honor all of it.
