Penang is a very cool island, almost in the center of Malaysia. There are 2 huge bridges leading to it from the mainland and the island itself is dotted with skyscrapers, hotels, offices and restaurants. Locals and tourists come here for the variety of delicious food. There is so much of it here because several cultures are mixed here, mainly Malaysian and Chinese, but also a lot of Thai and Pakistani. The whole of Penang resembles some kind of Chinese city, everywhere there are Chinese signs and taverns in the style of old Jackie Chan movies. The island is all green and hilly, but this does not prevent it from having excellent infrastructure. There is really very tasty and cheap food here and very expensive hotels. But the main attraction of the island is its sunsets. God, we have never seen such sunsets as here in our lives. Read more
